Today is my birthday! My forever ten day count down to Christmas and I know this year has been hectic and it’s interferes with so much and taken so much that the festive spirit hasn’t come as easily.
But I’ve been enjoying A Court of Frost and Starlight by @therealsjmaas and it has helped so much in putting me into a festive frame of mind. They don’t exactly have Christmas in the world of Prythian but they have winter solstice which mimics our worlds winter traditions and it has honestly been a delight. I’ve felt like I have celebrated with the characters and it’s gotten me excited for Christmas! I even made some Babka today which is Jewish celebration bread I was so in the zone.
It was honestly the perfectly little novella to remind me of the joys and family, friendship and how nice it is to show how much you care for one another. So, if you’re looking for a bit of festive cheer to help you get through the last month of this decade long year we call 2020 then I suggest giving it a read. Whether it be a re-read or a first dip.
