A Court of Wings and Ruin Review

A Court of Wings and Ruin Review:

Another amazing book by Sarah J Maas. Every element of story telling was there! The plot, the characters, the worldbuilding as always was incredible! (Warning this review does contain SPOILERS as I just couldn’t help myself 🤣)

Some highlights of mine in particular:

✨I love Nesta’s feistiness and the slow growth of feelings between her and Cassian.

✨I love Lucien and Feyre’s relationship. How snarky and sarcastic it is.

✨I really loved how Azriel approached Elain. Having understood pain far too well in his life.

The only gripe I really had with this book was the ending.

Intense players that were supposed to have the power of gods just died. Easily. Such as The Bone Carver’s sister, Bryaxis! I mean she is a bad add goddess who is in her totally element, having fed on hundreds of souls and restored her powers, and the King of Hybern just saunters up to her, has a quick conversation and she just lets him snap her neck. Ridiculous. The tension didn’t play out as it should have really. And everything just seemed to magically fall into place. Having everything come and rescue them just as they were loosing. It was just too fairytale. The battle wasn’t intense enough. The rhythm was off for some strange reason. Sarah J Maas is the absolute Queen of rhythmic writing but it kinda got a bit meh. The rest of the book was amazing! Just the ending wasn’t what I hoped it would be. It is still an amazing read and a five star one at that ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I definitely think A Court of Mist and Fury was better but come on, what could live up to it! This series as always has stolen my heart. Rhysand! Aww my poor broken bat boy!

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful end to your week and Happy Reading!
