It’s release day for A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes!
The hunger games series is one that means so much to me. It’s the only series I’ve repeatedly re-read and one of the only book series I read in my teen years. I wasn’t on top of my dyslexia and quite frankly the idea of reading terrified me, then this series was discovered by my sister, who passed it along to my dad, who passed it over to me. I’ve always been obsessed with stories, but I finally was able to dig into a book series and experience the joy of sharing the story with my family. They opened the world of books for me and when the films came along my family started the tradition of going to see the films together in the cinema every time. My sister even bought me this pin during a really hard time.
This series is incredible. A terrifying, intelligent political dystopian that I know I will stay with me forever.
I can’t wait to dig into this book and dive into another wonderful tale in a haunting world.
