What is your TBR looking like this June?
I don’t usually read sci-fi but due to the pandemic my library has been expanding its online library and Aurora Rising and The Knife of Never Letting Go (which I believe is a sci-fi) popped up and I thought, why not, and added myself to the audiobook waitlists while they were still relatively small. (they are now up into late September). They’ve all just become available at the same time so this month is going to be a little out of the norm for me.
I’ve already started Aurora Rising and so far there are bits I kinda like and bits I don’t. So, we’ll see.
And for The 7 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle (I believe known as the 7+1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle across the pond) it will also be totally different. From what I hear it is less heavy on the fantasy and walks straight up into mystery so, I’m excited to read it. I met Stuart Turton a while back at my favourite sci-fi/fantasy/ horror literary convention, Edge-Lit and heard him talk about the book and the complexities of creating it and I’ve been really looking forward to it ever since.
What do you all have on your June TBR this month?
