Happy Mabon!

Happy Mabon to my Pagan followers!

To celebrate in the best of bookish ways I present you some books with the most awesome of witches. These two books are absolutely phenomenal!

A Discovery of Witches series by @debharkness

&

Sanctuary by @drvictoriajames

What are some of your favourite books containing witches? I would love to know so I can add them to my TBR. I love these two books because they are set in our world, so the magic feels even closer. So, any recommendations would be epic!

Perfectly Preventable Deaths by Deirdre Sullivan is also an amazing book set in this world with a little twist of magic.

To any celebrating I hope you have a great week.

Here’s a quick snippet of information about Mabon for those hearing about it for the first time. ‘Mabon marks the middle of harvest, it is a time of equal day and equal night, and for the moment nature is in balance. It is a time to reap what you have sown, of giving thanks for the harvest and the bounty the Earth provides. For finishing up old projects and plans and planting the seeds for new enterprises or a change in lifestyle. Mabon is a time of celebration and balance.

This is the time to look back not just on the past year, but also your life, and to plan for the future. In the rhythm of the year, Mabon is a time of rest and celebration, after the hard work of gathering the crops. Warm autumn days are followed by chill nights, as the Old Sun God returns to the embrace of the Goddess.’
