This book is my kind of quirky! With witty banter you rarely get to read in the book world.
Gilmore Girls with Witches.
It’s the only way my brain can think to describe it.
The sisters were definitely a Rory and Lorelei duo that I absolutely loved!
The book took its time before jumping into the spooky wooky but the setting was so ominous and creepy, in an almost beautiful way, that held me before writer launched in.
I’m also so glad it wasn’t based in the England or America! I think that generally seems to be the default for some reason and really enjoyed it being set in The Republic of Ireland.
But the writer, Deirdre Sullivan, has a wonderful way of weaving the uncanny and old into pop culture and the twins felt like real teenagers from our time. The dialogue was absolutely hilarious and the dynamic between the two was a great read.
All I can say is, I bloomin’ hope there is a sequel!

OH, and on a side note. This cover is freaking amazing. Giving me Halloween vibes!
